HBO is bringing the behind-the-scenes chaos of making a superhero movie with The Franchise. Created by Mendes, Jon Brown, and Armando Iannucci, the series focuses on a crew for an upcoming superhero franchise film, trying to rein in the chaos of egos and their lives outside of the production.”The Franchise follows the crew of an unloved franchise movie fighting for their place in a savage and unruly cinematic universe,” the official show description reads. “The comedy series shines a light on the secret chaos inside the world of superhero moviemaking, to ask the question–how exactly does the cinematic sausage get made?
