Given the positive reviews of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, which launches very soon, you might now be wondering what kind of PC specs you need to join the fight. Publisher Focus Entertainment recommends a beefy RTX 3070 GPU with 8GB of VRAM to help render those swarms of homicidal species that originate from outside the galaxy, especially if you’re looking to get a 60fps experience. You’ll also need a decent CPU and 16GB of RAM if you want to play the game in 1080p and at 60fps. In comparison, the minimum PC requirements are more forgiving if you’re using older hardware, although this targets 30fps at 1080p to help keep the game running smoothly. The mandatory requirement across all PCs is a solid-state drive with 75GB of storage capacity available, which will likely help process all the hundreds of heretics you’ll face on the battlefield.

After seven years on the market, there are a handful of big-name franchises that have surprisingly never arrived on Switch: Madden, Call of Duty, and The Sims. PreordersThe $40 Cozy Bundle includes MySims and MySims Kingdom. Preorders are live now at Target. Preorder at Target The announcement of the MySims Cozy Bundle followed a Kotaku report that said a MySims game is coming to Switch later this year, calling it a remaster “of sorts.” A ResetEra thread noted that multiple European retailers have listings for the unannounced game with a November 19 launch. For those unfamiliar, MySims came out on Wii and Nintendo DS in 2007. It’s a spin-off subseries to The Sims and includes other entries like MySims Racing and MySims Party. They all released on Nintendo platforms, though the games did expand to other platforms, too. GameSpot’s MySims review on Wii gave the game a 6.5/10, saying it was “ultimately more successful as a virtual dollhouse than anything else.” However, there does seem to be a bit of a cult fol…

Sony will announce and release a PlayStation 5 Pro device this year, and a new State of Play broadcast where it could be announced is on tap for September, according to reporter Jeff Grubb of GameSpot sister site Giant Bomb.Speaking on the Game Mess Mornings show, Grubb reacted to the report that the PS5 Pro was apparently an open secret at Gamescom recently, as developers prepared games for it. Grubb said, “The last I heard, this thing [the PS5 Pro] is still coming out this year. More recently, what I’ve heard is there is probably going to be a State of Play, not a Showcase, by the end of September.”Grubb said he wasn’t sure if the rumored PS5 Pro will be announced at this potential event but said it’s a possibility. The system could then go on sale in October or November, Grubb said, going on to estimate that it might cost $600 or even potentially $700.A mid-generation Xbox Series X refresh is also rumored, but there isn’t much to go on. Microsoft is launching new hardware this October in the form of a $600 Xbox Series X with a 2TB hard drive and a galaxy-themed design. The PS5 Pro, should it be real, would signal Sony following a formula. Sony also released a PlayStati…

More exciting theme park news was announced today, as Universal Studios Hollywood has revealed Fan Fest Nights, an after-hours event debuting in Spring 2025 that is similar to the park’s Halloween Horror Nights, but with a less-spooky vibe. This ticketed event is focused on sci-fi, fantasy, gaming, and anime, featuring franchises like Star Trek, Back to the Future, and Dungeons & Dragons. Details are scant for now, but Universal said the Star Trek part is themed around Star Trek’s optimistic view of the future and what it means to be human. The Back to the Future portion, meanwhile, is based on the 1985 original movie. Finally, the D&D section of the event is of course inspired by the iconic tabletop RPG that has since leapt off the table and onto the screen recently with the Honor Among Thieves movie and the Baldur’s Gate 3 video game.
